Welcome to my Nourishing Notes
I've been meaning to start this for a while. A place where I can share a bit more than what fits in a treatment room β health tips, seasonal recipes, the occasional deep-dive into Chinese Medicine, and honest insights from over 20 years in clinical practice.
So here it is. Welcome. I'm really glad you're here - Let me introduce myself properly.

Who am I?
I'm Kylie β Acupuncturist, Chinese Medicine practitioner, mum of two boys and the founder of Northside Natural Health, based in Brunswick, Melbourne.
I've been helping people feel better β genuinely, sustainably better β for over two decades. I'm fully qualified and registered as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, and I work across acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and Chinese herbal medicine and supplements.
My approach is warm, practical and grounded. I don't believe in making health more complicated than it needs to be. I believe in listening carefully, treating the whole person, and meeting you exactly where you are.
What do I do?
Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine are at the heart of everything I do β but the conditions I treat are wonderfully varied.
I have a particular passion for fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care. Over the years I've had the privilege of walking alongside many couples on their journeys to start and grow their families β and it's work I find deeply meaningful, in part because I've navigated my own personal fertility challenges. That experience gives me a sensitivity to this journey that I bring into every consultation.
I also love working with:
Women's health β menstrual health, hormonal balance, PMS, PCOS, endometriosis, menopausal symptoms
Fertility and assisted reproduction β including IVF support
Pregnancy and postpartum recovery
Stress and anxiety β because what's happening in the mind is always happening in the body too
Pain relief β musculoskeletal issues, chronic tension, headaches and migraines
General health and wellbeing β fatigue, low immunity, thyroid imbalances, allergies, gastrointestinal issues, and more
If you're not sure whether acupuncture can help with what you're dealing with β just ask and we can find something thatβs right for you.
Why acupuncture? Why Chinese Medicine?
Simply because it can work β and there's a growing body of clinical evidence to support that.
Acupuncture is one of the most widely recommended complementary treatments in modern medicine, with high-quality evidence across dozens of conditions. But beyond the research, I've seen its impact firsthand, in thousands of consultations over more than 20 years.
What I love about Chinese Medicine is its whole-person philosophy. It doesn't just address the symptom β it asks why the symptom is there, and works to restore the underlying balance that health depends on. That might mean nourishing depleted energy, improving circulation, calming the nervous system, or supporting the body through a particular season or life stage.
It's an ancient system of medicine. And it still works beautifully today.
When should you come in?
Honestly? Any time. You don't have to be unwell to benefit from acupuncture.
Some of my patients come in with a specific condition they want to address. Others come regularly as part of their ongoing self-care β to manage stress, stay balanced through seasonal changes, or simply because they know their body deserves a little attention.
If you've been putting it off, or you've been curious but not sure where to start β this is your gentle nudge. There's rarely a wrong time to invest in your health.
Where am I?
You'll find me at Northside Natural Health, 81 Holmes Street, Brunswick VIC 3056 β a calm, welcoming multi-modality clinic that I founded alongside a wonderful team of allied health practitioners.
The treatment room is quiet and comfortable. There's side-street parking nearby, and we're easily accessible by tram, train or bike. Flexible hours are available to fit around work, study and family life.
How does it all work?
If you're new to acupuncture, here's what to expect:
Your first appointment - We'll talk through your health history, what's brought you in, and what you're hoping to achieve. Then we'll get started with treatment.
How often you come in depends entirely on what you're working on β some conditions respond quickly, others benefit from a course of treatment over several weeks.
I'll always explain what I'm doing and why. There are no surprises, and there's no pressure. It's your health, your pace, your journey.
You can book online at any time via the link on this website, or feel free to get in touch if you'd like to have a chat first.
So that's me β and that's what this little space is going to be about.
I'll be sharing seasonal health tips, nourishing recipes inspired by Chinese Medicine, and a bit of behind-the-scenes life at the clinic. I hope you find it useful, interesting, and maybe even a little inspiring.
Thanks for reading. Here's to feeling well. πΏ
